Aviva SIPP Review 2026

Aviva offers thousands of funds, UK exchange-traded investments and retirement income tools. Its range and retirement-income tools make it a substantial pension platform.

The range meets many investors' needs, but direct international share trading is unavailable. Investors who select overseas companies individually need another provider.

The 0.35% charge is the central problem. It reaches £875 at £250,000 and £1,750 at £500,000, far above Interactive Investor's flat fee and capped custody charges for exchange-traded portfolios elsewhere.

Existing Aviva customers may value consolidation, its retirement journey or an established relationship. That convenience needs a pound value against the annual fee difference.

The percentage charge continues into drawdown, so the case for Aviva weakens as the pot grows. Aviva needs to offer a clear service or product advantage to justify its cost.
