Hargreaves Lansdown SIPP Review 2026
Hargreaves Lansdown earns its place on a shortlist through support, research and a mature platform. Its product information is easier to navigate than that of many cheaper rivals.
Fund investors pay a clear premium. At £100,000, the annual platform fee is £350 before fund costs and dealing, against £250 at AJ Bell and £71.88 on Interactive Investor Core.
Its research, service and retirement support can justify the premium for people who use them, but brand recognition alone does not justify the extra cost.
Shares and ETFs change the calculation because custody stops at £150 a year. The cap makes Hargreaves Lansdown much more competitive for an exchange-traded portfolio than its 0.35% fund charge suggests.
I rate Hargreaves Lansdown highly for a broad, supported SIPP, although the decision rests on its annual pound cost relative to AJ Bell and Interactive Investor for the assets held.
